Washington State Bank Donates $150,000 to Support New Havel Family Cancer Center at WCHC

Washington County Hospital and Clinics (WCHC) is proud to announce a generous $150,000 donation from Washington State Bank in support of the new Havel Family Cancer Center, a transformational project that will expand access to high-quality cancer care close to home.

The Havel Family Cancer Center is designed to provide compassionate, comprehensive cancer services in a dedicated space that prioritizes patient comfort, dignity, and convenience. This new center will reduce the need for patients and families to travel long distances for treatment, allowing them to remain close to home and loved ones during some of life’s most challenging moments.

“Washington State Bank’s generosity is a powerful example of local commitment making a lasting impact,” said John Woodward, Major Gifts Development Officer with the Washington County Hospital Foundation. “Their support brings us one step closer to making the Havel Family Cancer Center a reality and ensuring our community has access to advanced cancer care right here in Washington County.”
Washington State Bank has a long history of investing in the communities it serves, and this gift reflects its continued dedication to improving the health and well-being of local families.

The Havel Family Cancer Center is made possible through the leadership and generosity of founding benefactor LeRoy Havel, whose commitment established the vision for a state-of-the-art cancer center in Washington County. Community support, like the gift from Washington State Bank, plays a critical role in bringing this vision to life.
In addition to the cancer center, the Light the Way Fund will provide ongoing support for oncology services, including equipment, education, and patient assistance, ensuring care continues to evolve for generations to come.

WCHC and the Washington County Hospital Foundation are deeply grateful to Washington State Bank for its leadership and generosity. Additional donor announcements and recognition opportunities will continue as the project progresses.
