Hospitalists

WCHC defines a hospitalist as a provider who specializes in the complete coordination of care for hospitalized patients. Our hospitalists assume care for patients upon their admission and is present through the discharge process.

Highest Quality of Care

Hospitalists are available on-site 24/7 and can be at a patient's bedside within minutes, providing care right when needed. During a patient's stay, the hospitalist will stay on the forefront of symptoms, adjust treatment, and coordinate diagnostic assessments as needed. Acting as the center-point of contact, the hospitalist is able to spend more time talking with and educating the patient and family while coordinating care with the patient's primary care provider and specialists. Upon discharge, our hospitalists will follow-up with the patient's primary care physician to review course treatment, medication, and next steps to ensure excellent transition of care.
