Cardiac Risk Assessment for Prevention
The WCHC Cardiology Clinic specializes in the early detection and treatment of cardiac problems focusing on the identification of risk factors. Using state-of-the-art technology, patients are provided with a comprehensive cardiovascular risk assessment and an individualized plan to improve heart health.
Comprehensive Testing
When red flags show up in a physical exam or the cardiac risk assessment, our Cardiology Clinic offers a wide range of diagnostic technology to best assess your heart health.
- Electrocardiogram: Also known as an ECG or EKG, this test measures the speed, rhythm, and evenness of your heartbeat.
- Holter monitor: Worn externally for 24-48 hours to continually measure and record heart activity as you live your everyday, normal routine.
- Echocardiogram: uses sound waves to produce an image of your heart’s chambers, blood vessels, and valves, which can reveal abnormalities and any extra fluid around your heart.
- Chest X-ray: creates an image of your heart and lungs to help diagnose heart disease.
- Exercise stress test: shows the heart’s performance under exertion.
- Stress echo test: combines exertion with ultrasound imaging to determine the heart’s performance.
- Chemical stress test: evaluate heart function and coronary blood flow.
