More/Other Information:

Striegel graduated from Creighton with her Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (B.S.N.) in 2013 and began at the University of Iowa Emergency department as a staff nurse and started back to graduate school at Creighton. During her time in at the University of Iowa, she served as a triage nurse, preceptor, charge nurse, and on various committees. Ms. Striegel also became board-certified as an adult and pediatric emergency nurse as well as achieved a Level 1 status from the Professional Recognition Program. She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing, Iowa Nurse Practitioner Society and American Association of Nurse Practitioners.

Ms. Striegel's nursing training at Creighton University was rooted in "curas personalis," a Jesuit value meaning "care of the whole person". She believes in partnering with patients and providing care that adheres to a patient's values and health goals. In providing holistic care across the lifespan, she will take the time to listen to patients and emphasize preventative care. Ms. Striegel also knows medical terminology can be confusing. Medication names can be hard to pronounce and and it can be hard to remember when and why you are taking each pill. It's important to her to utilize plain language, to conserve healthcare dollars wherever possible by taking time to go over medications and what each one is for, and keep track of recommended preventative care and appointments with specialists.

Ms. Striegel and her husband reside in Washington County and have one young son. She enjoys spending time with family, home decorating, scrap-booking,and going to country music concerts. She loves to support community activities that promote health and wellness and feels incredibly grateful to live in a community that offers wonderful care, so close to home.
