Pharmacy
Pharmacy
WCHC is one of the few critical access hospitals with dedicated clinical pharmacy services for our hospital patients. Our staff of clinical pharmacists and certified pharmacy technicians work with the interdepartmental team daily to ensure the highest quality of service and safety during a stay.
In addition to preparing medications for use in all hospital departments and clinics, our team also provides a comprehensive range of services, including:
- Reviewing information from your pharmacy to ensure continuity of care while you are in the hospital.
- Informing you of medication changes that occur during your hospital stay.
- Reviewing medication orders for interactions and other potential issues.
- Assisting hospitalists and other providers in monitoring lab levels specific to the medications you are taking.
- Providing medication-related education and preparation for your discharge.
- Working with issues related to drug therapy.
