Welcome to Washington County Hospital and Clinics’ Website. We are pleased to have this communication vehicle to provide information about our new hospital and the services we offer.
Washington County Hospital and Clinics recently completed construction of a $22 million replacement hospital. The hospital broke ground May 9th of 2006 and we will celebrate our Grand Opening two years later this coming May 9th of 2008. The project provides nearly 51,000 feet of new space and 28,000 of renovated space with views of newly landscaped grounds.
The new hospital offers all private inpatient rooms with private bathrooms, family area with sleeper sofa and large windows. The Family Birthing Center offers spacious birthing suites with the latest technology. They feature a fold down Murphy bed and lots of room for family and visitors. The Physical Therapy Department has added hydrotherapy as yet another way to help heal those affected by many diseases and ailments. Our long term care facility, McCreedy Home has added a new Dining room and support space to enhance the quality of living for their residents.
Many features have been added to bring beauty and honor the history of Washington County Hospital and Clinics. Original columns from our 1912 hospital building are incorporated into the front lobby and a beautiful display case is filled with many photos and memorabilia from the rich history of healthcare in Washington County. Warm colors, carpeted floors and work from local artists create a warm and beautiful environment. A new outdoor fountain, walkways and landscaped areas offer that same beautiful environment outdoors.
While hospitals can be a happy place where babies enter the world, they can also be a place where families may learn that a loved one is ill or has passed away. At Washington County Hospital and Clinics, we want to make our hospital a place where families even in the most stressful situations, can not only receive excellent medical care but enjoy the many peaceful features of our new hospital, indoor and out.
At Washington County Hospital and Clinics our mission is to be the central resource for improving health and promoting wellness of all our communities. To fulfill our mission we are committed to continuously improving the health of the communities we serve while providing quality healthcare that puts people first. All staff at Washington County Hospital and Clinics are committed to a set of standards that provide caring behaviors, teamwork and leadership to care for the health of community.
