University of Iowa Outreach Clinic
Washington Area residents can conveniently access the University of Iowa's high quality specialty clinics through the UI Clinical Outreach Dialysis Unit/Specialty Clinics.  This clinic is located on the southwest corner of the WCHC campus.  The Dialysis Unit offers six stations to treat patients locally and three specialty clinics:  Cardiology, Pulmonary Diseases and Psychiatry. 

Cardiology: Every Wednesday of the month in the Specialty Clinic Area in the hospital. 
Pulmonary: Every 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month in the University Outreach Clinic located on the southwest corner of the WCHC campus in the same building as the Dialysis Unit. 
Adult & Child Psychiatry: Every 2nd Friday of the month in the Specialty Clinic Area in the hospital


Cardiology

Dr. John Chase, M.D.
    Dr. John Chase received his medical degree from the University of North Carolina in 1993.  He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Texas Southwestern in 1996 and a fellowship in cardiology at University of Iowa Hospsitals and Clinics in 1999.  His interests lie in the areas of heart failure, cardiac transplant, pulmonary hypertension, and diagnostic cardiac catheterization.  
    Dr. Chase is an active invasive cardiologist and has extensive experience in echocardiography.  He is part of the UI heart failure, heart transplant, and pulonary hypertension programs.  Since 1998, he has served as a   co-investigator in numerous clinical trials in heart failure and pulmonary hypertension.  Dr. Chase sees patients every Wednesday in the Specialty Clinic Area at the hospital in Washington.  Call UI Clinical Outreach toll free at 877-891-5350 to schedule an appointment or for more information. 

Pulmonary

Dr. John Fieselmann, M.D.
    Dr. John Fieselmann, M.D., received his medical degree from the University of Iowa Roy J. and Lucille A. Carver College of Medicine in 1972, followed by a residency at UI Hospitals and Clinics in Internal Medicine in 1975, and a fellowship at UI in Pulmonary Medicine.  He is board-certified in Internal Medicine and Pulmonary Diseases.  
    Dr. Fieselmann practices clinical pulomary medicine.  His special interests include evaluating and improving the quality of intensive care available in rural areas, developing a predictive model for identifying patients at risk for cardiopulmonary arrest, and analyzing the impact of clinical outreach activities.  He directs UI Health Care's Office for Outreach and Clinical Care Coordination.   Dr. Fieselmann sees patients in the University of Iowa Outreach Clinic located on the southwest corner of the campus every 2nd and 4th Tuesdays from 9:00 a.m. to Noon.  Call UI Clinical Outreach toll free at 877-891-5350 for an appointment or more information.

Adult & Child Psychiatry  

Dr Maria Morcuende, M.D.
Dr. Maria Morcuende received her medical degree from the Universidad Autonoma de Madrid, Spain in 1994, Residency in 1999 from the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics and a Fellowship in 2000 from Associate Programme in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy, Arbours Association, London, UK.  She most recently worked as a Staff Adult Psychiatrist in Pasco, WA.  Dr. Morcuende is board certified in Psychiatry and Neurology.  She is a member of several professional socieities.  Dr. Morcuende specializes in adult and child psychiatric care and sees patients in the Specialty Clinic Area at the hospital in Washington every second Friday of the month.  Call UI Clinical Outreach toll free at 877-891-5350 for an appointment or more information.
