Dr. Frank Sanfiel, General Surgeon, offers a wide variety of different surgical procedures at Washington County Hospital and Clinics and Surgical Healthcare of Washington Clinic. 

With his expertise and training, he is able to perform procedures and surgeries such as: various bowel surgeries, gall bladder surgery, hernia surgery, upper and lower endoscopies, laparoscopic procedures, breast biopsies, and skin lesion and mole removal, to name a few.  Dr. Sanfiel is also bi-lingual in Spanish which enables him to better serve our community. 


Dr. Gene Lariviere is a General Surgeon that sees patients on Mondays at Surgical Healthcare of Washington.  Dr. Lariviere received his MD from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas.  He did a general surgery residency at the University of Kansas, School of Medicine.  Dr. Lariviere served as GEneral Surgeon at Mercy Hospital from 1994 until 2009.  He is currently employed by Virginia Gay Hospital in Vinton, Iowa.  Dr. Lariviere consults surgical patients each Monday at the Surgical Healthcare of Washington office.  He specializes in Laparoscopic gallbladder removal, hernia repair, appendectomies, bowel surgery, breast biopsies and other general surgery.
